Random hiatus is random… they had just started an an arc, too. That’s very disappointing. I’m guessing it has to do with the OVA that just started.

Back in June, I thought it was coming back in August. Then in July’s issue of the magazine, Black Lagoon wasn’t listed in the index as having a new chapter next month. What’s strange is the magazine’s complete silence over the current status of the manga. Black Lagoon just suddenly stopped serialization in June without any explanation even now. Given that this is the second hiatus for this manga in a twelve month period, I’m assuming that something serious must have happened behind the scenes.
Whatever the reason for this current hiatus, we won’t know WHEN the next chapter will be coming out until it’s announced by the magazine in advance.
