Ok…just an update. We haven’t dropped Kurenai or Bloody Monday.
Kurenai – waiting on raws *found raws so in the future once I get word from our translator I find a crack in the space-time continuum*
Bloody Monday – waiting on trans Got trans 😀 Will release on weekend

Sorry to hijack your post Mister Death, but as a point of information – Bloody Monday Last Season ends on Ch 36 and after that we won’t be doing another weekly series. Also we won’t be giving away Kurenai. – Ivory

First of all, I and all members of JAC are deeply saddened by the events occurring in Japan as I’m sure all manga followers are. Japan feels like the country of our hearts, because on a weekly basis we come in contact with works created by the Japanese. We encourage everyone to try and help as much as they can and a good place to donate through is the Red Cross.
Understandably, manga is the last thing on the minds of our Japanese friends. So just to update those of you who are unaware (others may have already read about it on MAL), the following will be delayed:
Monthly Jump Square: May (Apr 4) and June issue (May 2) will be combined into one and will be released on April 21st. [So that means Ao no Exorcist, Tegami Bachi, Shin Prince of Tennis and Kurenai]
Weekly Shonen Magazine: The release schedules after March 28th have been under consideration. [This means Bloody Monday Season 2]
Someone asked if Kazue Kato (AnE) has been confirmed safe and the answer is yes. ANN is constantly updating a list of those whose safety has been confirmed and you can check that here.

I’ve been meaning to post this bit of news for some time now so first let me apologize for the delay.
Now, as it relates to the unscanlated last three volumes of Mushishi, these will not be done by J.A.C. When we first started with trying to catch up, it was our intention to do so before the volumes were licensed, however our translator got caught up with real life and then the licensed copies caught up with us. As such, since it has always been our policy (whether unstated or otherwise) to not scanlate works which are licensed in English, please consider this project ‘dropped’.
To those who are able, we encourage you to purchase Vols 8/9/10 (published in one book) in support of the mangaka. I’ve had my copy for a few months now and its not a purchase that I’m disappointed in. 🙂

I know its a bit early but I might forget otherwise….. Tomorrow marks the day in History when 22 years ago a child was born, destined to join the J.A.C. and clean for the group… Not much is know about his early years but its safe to assume he had a Happy and/or terrible childhood… Well either way he survived and grew up to become a Narutard, eventually he grew out of it and in September 16, 2007 he joined a forum called Mangashare after posting and lurking on the forum, he went and downloaded MIRC and joined the MS channel. After being on irc for a few months in the beginning of the 2008 year, he joined the JAC where he worked on his first series Tegami Bachi ,to be exact Tegami Bachi Vol 3 Ch 8. Soon after he became a integral part of the JAC always up for the chance of cleaning and improving his skills.
In 2009 he cleaned Bloody Monday on a daily basis for 3 months until we completed the first season. Then started on Season 2 in October 2009… But the demands of real life /school and his going to rehab for his Hello Kitty addiction, he had to take a sabbatical from working with the JAC… Whether he returns or not we the JAC would like to thank him for all his hard work and to wish him a Happy Birthday and hope some 10 year old doesn’t steal his candy while he Trick or treats…

Well, it took a while for them to say it, but the latest issue of the magazine just confirmed that the Black Lagoon manga will remain on hiatus for the rest of the year. They say it will return on a yet determined date in 2011. Also the release dates of the remaining OVAs were also delayed until next year. I’m guessing they’re trying to stretch these OVAs out until the manga returns next year.
